Colour on Printed Board Packs: Lessons from a March Proof Run

March proof run at a client office in Bundang: our oxidized green read as grey-brown on their Ricoh multifunction. On screen it had matched the brass accent palette perfectly.

What we changed

We shifted segment colours to a higher-contrast set for print: charcoal, antique gold, and a muted blue-grey reserved for prior-year series. Green remains on screen-only appendix slides.

Proof protocol

We now request a sample print on the actual board-room printer before final PDF lock. One page with the busiest chart is enough. Clients in Incheon can do this at our studio instead.

Paper stock matters

Thin recycled stock bleeds chart lines. We note recommended weight in the delivery email — typically 100 gsm or heavier for double-sided charts.
